Schools & ECE Centres

Schools and early childhood education centres are a fabulous place to start to teach our communities about how our food is grown and the importance of biodiverse environments.

At Kings Seeds it’s important for us to support our educators and parents and the hard work that goes into these school & ECE programs, often run by volunteers.

Schools & ECE centres throughout New Zealand are eligible for our Seeds of Support discount. This discount provides 20% off our online retail pricing for any homegarden seed products in our range, as well as access to our wholesale bulk seed range.

This offer supersedes other specials and offers and can only be activated with a verified profile through our website. One account per organisation.

Fundraise with Seeds

Move over chocolate bars and raffle tickets - there’s a new hero in town… and it’s sprouting quietly from the soil.

Across New Zealand, more schools, early childhood centres, and community organisations are turning to gardening-based fundraisers.

It’s a fresh, meaningful way to raise money that also sows knowledge, community spirit, and a healthy respect for the land.

At Kings Seeds we believe fundraising should do more than fill abucket, it should grow something lasting.

Schools and ECE centres are the perfect places to begin sowing the seeds - literally!

Schools & ECE Fundraising Ideas

There are many funs ways to provide learning opportunities with seeds or to provide further opportunities for generating funds for your school or early childhood education centre.

Seed bought in bulk can be used for fundraising and projects:
• Grow seedlings and sell them at your school or centre gala/fair, roadside stall or to plant in the school garden
• Grow cut flowers in your school or centre garden for sale or to give to parents or others in the community
• Grow produce in your school or centre garden for sale, use in learning or to give to those in the community who may have a need
• Grow potted herbs or plants for sale or for the children to take home or gift
• Run a competition for your school or centre community; heaviest pumpkin, largest bloom, tallest sunflower, tastiest tomato

Whether you choose to carry out these activities to raise funds or as a learning opportunity for the children there are many areas of the curriculum covered.

Disclaimer: Seed supplied to schools and ECE centres is not for resale except in the case of the fundraiser where sales cannot be made via online platforms.
