WHAT IS A SEED?
A unit of reproduction of a flowering plant capable of developing into another plant.
A seed is an embryonic plant enclosed in a protective outer covering.

WHAT IS A VEGETABLE?
A plant or part of a plant that can be eaten as food – either a fruit, pod, stem, leaf or root.

WHAT IS A FRUIT?
A fruit is the part of a plant that develops from a flower and contains the seeds from that plant.
Or, the mature external ovary of the plant.
Vegetables that are fruit: Tomatoes, Pumpkins, Eggplants, Peppers/Chillies, Cucumbers, Watermelon, Rock Melon.

WHAT IS A HERB?
Any plant with leaves, seeds or flowers used for flavouring, food, medicine, perfume or industrial purposes.
Generally speaking, herbs refer to the leafy plants of the plant while spices are produced from the bark, berries, fruits and sometimes the seeds of plants. Coriander, Cumin and Fenugreek seeds are examples of herbs that are also spices.
