DescriptionRed leaved Plantain sometimes known as the "Herb for Everything". High in calcium, Vitamins A, B1 and Riboflavin, young leaves can be eaten raw in salads (older leaves need cooking) and make nutritious tea. Also useful as a poultice for stings, wounds and sores to aid healing. Seedlings start off green before developing a clump of strong purple red leaves that are very ornamental. Easy to grow.
