An unusual flavoured salad green used fresh like cress in salads and sandwiches or even as a pizza topping to give an interesting combination of flavour. Use leaves when 7-10cm long for the uniquely strong oily-peppery taste. Since this plant matures quickly, make successive sowings for a continuous supply. Enjoy the leaves until the plants begin to bloom, then discard. Plants do best in cool weather.
