Manuka Tree

NZ $3.95

Description

Selected strain of the native Tea Tree with high UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) levels and attractive whitish pink flowers.  Excellent for erosion control, a nursery crop for slower growing varieties, oil production, firewood and as a valuable food source for bees.  Tolerates most sites and soil types.  The tiny seed should only be pressed into the surface of Seed raising mix and barely covered.  Filtered light and even moisture will aid germination, avoid over-watering with the mix staying soggy.  Lightly prune after flowering to maintain a compact plant.

Matures 3 years from Transplant.
