Incredibly versatile climbing bean from New Guinea with four winged edges on the pod. Besides the nutrient rich high protein bean, you can also cook the leaves, stems and tuberous roots, nothing is wasted. Pods are best picked when immature and can be eaten raw with the leaves cooked like spinach. Perennial in warm climates like a Scarlet Runner but annual in cooler climates.Matures 100 days from Direct Sowing.
