Description

Popular French heirloom celery with a fine flavour, first recorded in the 1884 Vilmorin seed catalogue. The rosette of green sturdy stalks are virtually stringless with a crisp tender texture and a nutty flavour. Celery seed prefers light to germinate, so barely cover the seed. As the plants grow, mound soil up around the base, much as you would leeks, to avoid greening. Celery prefers fertile humus rich well drained soil with even moisture levels.

Matures 85 days from transplant.
