Compact Butterhead style green lettuce with a history dating back to Thomas Jefferson's garden at Monticello, Virginia in the 17th century. Still popular in the early 20th century, its rosette of light green leaves form a loose head that is easy to pick and excellent for small gardens or growing in tubs.

Matures 60 days from direct sowing.
