Broccoli Precoce Romanesco
For generations gardeners in northern Italy have grown Romanesco Broccoli. It is unlike regular Broccoli, forming highly decorative light green clusters of heads that resemble sea coral. The tip of each spear is conical rather than round but the taste is true Broccoli. Always pick before spears flower. Italian Broccoli must have cool weather as heads develop so an early spring or autumn planting is best. Do not over-apply nitrogenous fertilizers.
Matures 75 days from direct sowing.
