Lady's Mantle
Description
Very popular European medicinal plant used as a wound herb to stop bleeding and for menstrual pain and irregularities. This delightful plant derives its common name from the fan-shaped leaves which resemble the folds of a medieval cloak. The leaves are covered in tiny hairs that collect droplets of dew or rain. This liquid was prized by Alchemists, hence its Latin name. Plants will thrive in partial shade or full sun and bear multiple clusters of small yellow flowers. Fairly slow to germinate, stratification before sowing will assist germination.
Maturity second season from transplant.
