Summer Savory
Description
When you cook Broad Beans, add a good sprig of Savory, just as you would add Mint or add a little chopped Savory and finely chopped Shallot with a big dab of butter to Beans after cooking. A few pieces added to the water in which brassica are being cooked will reduce the strong odour of these vegetables in the kitchen. Summer Savory is the preferred variety, having a sweeter taste and being less piquant than its perennial relative, Winter Savory.
Matures 70 days from transplant.
