Eryngium Sea Holly
Description
This species of Eryngium from Eastern Europe is a prolific bloomer with heart-shaped leaves plus bright Steel-Blue flowers and stems in summer. The plant produces many flowering stalks each bearing several flower heads. The flower heads are ready to pick when they are at their brightest colour. The plant is inconspicuous when not in bloom, so is best planted among other flowering perennials. Chill seed for 10-14 days in the fridge before sowing to aid germination. Refer also to Thistle Blue Globe.
Maturity 120 days from transplant.
