Bells of Ireland
Description
Shell Flower. Long stems are of attractive cup-shaped, pale Green bells. Flowering time is late summer. Pick when all the bracts are open and rather stiff to the touch. For dried bouquets mix two parts boiling water to one part glycerine. When still warm immerse stems about 7 to 10cm deep for minimum 6 hours. Remove when drops of glycerine appear on the bells and gently wipe off and hang upside down. Stratify seed for 4 to 6 weeks.
