Scabiosa Starball
- Botanical Name: Scabiosa stellata
A dried flower beauty and also a delightful plant for garden displays. This Scabiosa produces 20-30cm stems along with spherical heads, 7.5-10cm in diameter, each composed of soft Lavender Blue flowers tightly packed together. These quickly mature and fall, leaving a rather beautiful globular head to turn into a fascinating, many faceted, burnished bronze flower ball which looks as if it has been fashioned from translucent parchment. The flower heads should be picked as the last petals fall off.
Maturity 90 days from transplant.
