Description

Excellent Cattle, Pig, Sheep, Chicken, and Rabbit food source. These large summer grown beets provide a mass of edible beet leaves and nutritious, palatable (up to 10kg) roots for autumn and winter feed for animals. Best chopped into pieces for sheep and cows or else hung in chicken houses to entertain and provide food for chooks in winter.

Direct sow 2 seeds every 25cm in rows 30cm apart or approximately 5kg per acre. Prefer deeply tilled free draining sandy soil to achieve full size. Harvest by grazing or lift roots and feed out as required.
