It's a striking departure from the classic yellow sunflower, and one that brings a moody, sophisticated colour to cut flower arrangements.

The dark-brown centres on this hybrid are pollen-free, which gives the blooms greater longevity as a cut flower and keeps pollen from dropping onto furniture or fabric once brought indoors. Being a hybrid variety, ProCut Plum is also highly uniform and vigorous, so you can expect consistent results across a planting.

As with other ProCut varieties, harvest as soon as the first petals begin to open. This timing allows the bloom to keep developing after cutting and gets the most out of its 7-10 day vase life.

Growing Sunflower ProCut Plum F1

Sow from September through to January at a germination temperature of 18-24°C, with seedlings appearing in 7-14 days.
