In high light, expect a deeper plum colour with tea-coloured tips, while in lower light the same plant produces flowers in a softer pink-mauve with lemon tips. It's a fun, slightly unpredictable variety that can bring real variety to the border depending on where and when it's grown.

Unlike single-stem sunflowers, Cherry Rose is a branching, long-stemmed type, one of the earliest sunflowers to bloom and with a long flowering period once it gets started. That branching habit means more flowers over a longer stretch of time, both for the border display and for cutting into bouquets.
