The tender young shoots are traditionally added to risottos, omelettes and pasta dishes, offering a fresh, slightly sweet flavour that's hard to find in more common leafy greens.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eStridolo is fast-growing and naturalises easily, self-seeding around the garden once it gets going, so it suits a spot where you're happy to let it spread, such as an edible groundcover. Germination is fairly quick, usually within 7-14 days.
