The bright green foliage of the well-branched plants sets off those colours beautifully, giving the whole planting a lush, textural feel through summer.

This is a tender annual bred for heat, and it shows. Pampas Plume Mix is low maintenance once it gets going, shrugging off drought and hot conditions that would stress many other cut flower varieties. That toughness, combined with plumes that hold their shape and colour for a long time, makes it a standout choice for anyone growing flowers for bouquets, whether fresh or dried.

Pinching the plants while young encourages more branching, which means more of those feathery plumes to work with come harvest time. It's a rewarding variety for gardeners who want maximum colour and texture for minimum fuss over the warmer months.

Growing Celosia Pampas Plume Mix

Sow from October through to December at a germination temperature of 20-25°C, with seedlings appearing in 7-14 days.
