botry-zen-copy
MIDI-Zen

Powdery mildew is one of the most frustrating diseases in the home garden, coating cucurbit leaves in white just as the season hits its stride, and Midi-Zen was developed specifically to fight back against it. Developed by Plant & Food Research scientists, it is a natural fungicide for the control of powdery mildew and Botrytis cinerea, built around a food-grade, plant-sourced oil rather than a synthetic chemical.

Its anti-fungal activity is particularly effective against powdery mildew, and it is suited to a wide range of crops including cucurbits, pipfruit, wheat and ornamentals. As a non-toxic biocide that leaves no residue, it is a genuinely safe option for home gardeners, including on edible crops heading towards harvest, without the withholding periods and handling precautions that come with many conventional fungicides.

Cucurbits in particular, pumpkins, courgettes, cucumbers and squash, are notorious for succumbing to powdery mildew mid-season, often just as fruit is forming. Mixed with water and sprayed mid-season to run-off, Midi-Zen gives these crops real protection at exactly the point when an infection could otherwise cut a harvest short.

For gardeners wanting an effective, food-safe way to keep powdery mildew off their cucurbits and other susceptible plants, Midi-Zen offers science-backed protection without the compromises of harsher chemical options.

Using Midi-Zen

Mix with water according to the rate on the label and spray mid-season, once plants are established and before powdery mildew takes hold, applying thoroughly to run-off so all leaf surfaces are covered.
