Charity of the Month

Camilla from our admin team chose to support Women's Refuge as she wants to see everyone be able to live free from family violence and have a safe place to stay. Not only do they provide a safe place for women in need, but also a 24hr crisis helpline and counselling to ensure women have as much support as possible.

Women's Refuge

"Women's refuge is New Zealand's largest nation-wide organisation that supports and helps women and children experiencing family violence.

New Zealand has the highest rates of family violence in the developed world and 1 in 3 women will experience violence at some point in their lives, factoring in emotional abuse that number changes to 1 in 2. Our goals is to change these staggering statistics and help as many women and children as possible live lives free from violence.

With Refuges located from Kaitaia to Invercargill, we assist around 50,000 women and children each year. We do this through providing safe accommodation, counselling, legal and financial assistance and much more.

To support the women and children in our care, you can purchase a safe night accommodation for $20 through safenight.nz, make a donation through our website, our provide essential items for our local refuge. Without the generous support of New Zealanders, we could not continue being there for women and children when they are at their most vulnerable."

For the month of January, the proceeds form Echinacea Purple Conflower, will go to Women's Refuge.
