Peanut Black Pindar
- Botanical Name: Arachis hypogaea
Rare black skinned peanut from South America brought to the Southern States of the USA to feed plantation slaves. Easy to grow and a prolific producer with an intense nutty flavour richer than red skin types. Sow into warm soils in late spring. After flowering, its pods bury themselves in the ground and swell. Harvest when the plant starts to wither. 120-140 days to maturity.
