Tomato Matt's Wild Cherry

  • Botanical Name: Lycopersicon esculentum

Is this the original wild cherry tomato that all modern cherry tomatoes are bred from? Sourced from the forests of Hidalgo, Mexico, this prolific doer bears clusters of hundreds of sweet 5g deep red cherry sized fruit that can be used for fresh eating, pizza toppings and salsa alike. They have a sweet full flavour with a tender smooth texture and the plants have some natural resistance to both early and late blight. Sturdy support needed to 2 metres high. Indeterminate

Matures 75 days from transplant.
