Botanical Name: Brassica oleracea/Brassica napus

Kales are a very nutritious and tasty cool season green that can be harvested continuously from early autumn through to spring. Excellent served fresh in salads or steamed like cabbage and spinach, it is sweeter and more palatable than its cabbage cousin. Harvest by clipping side leaves 5 weeks from sowing. Blend includes Pink Stem, Cavolo Nero, Vates Blue Squire, Red Monarch and Red Russian.
