Ragged Jack Red Russian is a traditional variety that is now hard to find. These pretty, wavy-leaved plants are a lovely blue-green in warmer weather but, as the temperature drops, its stems and leafy veins turn a gorgeous red hue that lights up the entire garden. Red Russian is also succulent, tender and surprisingly sweet even in warmer winters.
