Turnip Golden Ball
- Botanical Name: Brassica rapa glabra
Handsome heirloom turnip first recorded in France as early as 1854. Also known as Orange Jelly Turnip, it has creamy yellow to truly orange flesh depending on the soil type and is best eaten at golf ball size. The taste is mildly sweet with an almond after taste complementing cooked carrots when served together. The tops are also edible as greens. Can be grown most of the year.
