• Botanical Name: Foeniculum vulgare azoricum

Tasty high quality European bulb fennel. Large rounded bulbs are crisp with a nice anise flavour, great for grilling, baking, soups and salads. Disturbing or stressing the roots too much causes bolting. Fertile, regularly irrigated, well drained soil produces the best bulbs. Harvest as base thickens and clip off any seed stalks that may form. (80 days)
