Pepper Californian Wonder

• Botanical Name: Capsicum annuum

One of the most popular of the sweet varieties. The fruits are green, thick walled, blocky and 12cm long turning to red when allowed to mature. They have a crisp sweet distinct flavour and are excellent for stuffing, frying or eating raw. For a way to maintain the flavour and appearance of a hot Chilli dish, while reducing the heat, substitute California Wonder for half the amount of Chilli called for in the recipe. (75 days)
