Onion Shallot F1

• Botanical Name: Allium cepa

Firm white fleshed shallot with straw yellow skin. Stores well and widely adapted to most regions. Sown 2cm apart most seeds will form a single shallot - clusters will form if sown more thinly. Harvest when tops fall and begin to brown in 100 days. Like onions, shallots are day length sensitive with bulb formation being triggered by long days. Time sowing so the plantlet has at least 3-4 leaves before the longest day.
