Onion Yellow Sweet Spanish

  • Botanical Name: Allium cepa

Popular large golden-brown skinned onion with crisp white flesh and a tempting mild sweet flavour which some people eat raw like an apple. The uniform large globe shaped bulbs will grow up to 500g and show some tolerance to both thrips and mildew. Best sown in the late spring months in a sunny well drained position. When mature lift and allow the skin to cure (dry). Good storage into autumn.

Maturity 120 days from direct sowing.
