Squash Hubbard Chicago Warted
- Botanical Name: Cucurbita maxima
Recorded since 1897, this is one of the best winter storage squash often lasting until late spring. Its thick sweet orange flesh has little or no fibre and is fine grained and dry, making it very good eating. The dark green warty skin needs a strong arm and heavy knife or cleaver to part it. Fruit grow to 5kg. (115 days)
