Pumpkin Galeux d'Eysines
- Botanical Name: Cucurbita maxima
Impressive looking French Heirloom pumpkin with a heavily warted skin. Popular at American Farmers markets for its looks, great flavour and versatility for baking and in soups. The 5-10kg fruit have sweet moist orange flesh and should be harvested before they are overly mature as the peanut-like warts continue to grow and will cover the whole fruit. Transplant into well composted ground. Yield is usually 2 large fruit per vine. (100 days)
