Watermelon Carolina Jumbo
- Botanical Name: Citrullus lanatus
The world's heaviest watermelon growing to nearly 100kg in size! For best results, deeply mulch the growing site with lime and well rotted compost and cover with black polythene. Transplant out after last frosts allowing 6-8 m2 for each plant to trail. Water regularly over the summer months and thin to one fruit per vine. Mature melons have sweet pink flesh, oblong shape and green skin colour with a light green stripe.
