Melon Banana

  • Botanical Name: Cucumis melo

Delectable heirloom banana shaped melon from the 1800s. Not even vaguely round, it shares features of both a cantaloupe and a snake melon with an elongated shape tapered at both ends. It has a smooth yellow skin at maturity with very little netting if any and salmon pink flesh that has an intense spicy sweet flavour. The plentiful melons measure from 45cm in length and 10cm in diameter at maturity.

Maturity 80 days from transplant.
