Crisp and tasty Japanese style cucumber. Similar to Dutch greenhouse types to look at but more sweet flavoured with a creamier texture. Tasty Queen has thin bright green skin, fruit 22cm long carried in abundance on the main vines and also on the laterals. It is all female (gynecious) and grows fruit without pollination (parthenocarpic). Grows prolifically in greenhouses on support setting fruit 55 days from transplant and can also be grown successfully outdoors on a trellis. Resistant to Downy and Powdery Mildews.
