Organic Pea Tom Thumb

  • Botanical Name: Pisum sativum banned in Wairarapa

Perhaps the best ever pea for growing in pots! At only 25cm high, this pre 1850s English Heirloom Pea was initially bred for growing in window boxes and hanging baskets. Treat it as a delicious flat podded snow pea or let the 7-9cm pods develop their sweet shelling peas. Grow in the cool seasons of spring and autumn. Direct sow into pots.

Maturity 40-45 days from direct sowing.
