Chilli Habanero Red
- Botanical Name: Capsicum chinense
The hottest pepper, Habanero Red has brilliant red fruit and an intense fiery heat. A selection of Habanero Red has recently been accepted as the hottest Chilli known by the Guinness Book of Records at over 500,000 Scoville heat units. For comparison, Tabascos rate at between 30,000 to 50,000 Scoville units. Plants grow to 100cm tall with large leaves and do best in areas with long hot summers. (90-100 hot days)
