Carrot Chantenay Red Core

Botanical Name: Daucus carota var sativa

A versatile dark orange carrot without the typical lighter core of other carrots. Sweet, crisp, wide shouldered and tapered, it is well known as a roasting carrot due to its chunky shape but is also useful for processing and juicing. Best sown regularly through spring and summer for a continuous harvest from late summer onwards.
