Echinacea Purple Coneflower

  • Botanical Name: Echinacea purpurea

A drought resistant plant with large, rich Carmine-Red 8cm or larger across flowers shaped like Sunflowers during late summer and early autumn. An excellent cut flower, lasting well in water. Commonly known as Echinacea and when used medicinally, increases bodily resistance to infection, and acts as a blood purifier in the treatment of diseases caused by impurities.  Stratify seed for 7-10 days in the fridge before planting to aid germination.
