Hyacinth Bean Vine
- Botanical Name: Dolichos lablab
A striking vigorous climber that will quickly cover a fence or trellis, this twining tropical-looking plant has large wine coloured patterned leaves and distinctive Purple stems. From mid summer plants are covered with spikes of pretty pea or bean like Lilac Rose blossoms. These flowers are then followed by shiny flat pods of a brilliant royal Crimson colour. Completely edible pods, young leaves and flowers.
