Marigold Mexican
- Botanical Name: Tagetes lemmoni
Native to Arizona and adjacent regions of Mexico, this species is unusual in being a shrub of somewhat sprawling habit. The leaves are dark green and pinnately divided into narrow segments. They are very aromatic, giving a strong lemon smell when brushed against. In autumn and winter it bears small Golden-Yellow flowerheads, sometimes continuing through most of the year (encouraged by cutting back in early summer). It likes a sheltered position. With all these qualities, we feel Mexican Marigold will be a popular addition to any garden large or small. Note: This variety should not be confused with Wild Marigold Tagetes minuta, an annual weed.
Hardy Perennial; 20-25 degrees; 7-10 days; 200cm height; 15cm apart; Full Sun; 1.2.3; 50 seeds; Easy to Grow ; Bedding Plant.
